Pakistan (Gwadar) China Linyi Trade City is the first project in the Initial Area of Gwadar Free Zone and the groundbreaking ceremony was held on May 7th, 2016. Mr. Zhang Shuping, mayor of Linyi City, Mr. Bob. Gruber, mayor of Gwadar City, Dr. Sajjad. Hussein. Bullough, chairman of Gwadar Development Authority, Mr. Dostain Jamaldini, chairman of Gwadar Port Authority, and Mr. Zhang Baozhong, chairman of COPHC attended the ceremony.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Yao Ming, Director of Administrative Committee of Linyi Trading City Complex stressed that Linyi Trade City will make full use of the geo-advantages, abundant resources, unique supportive policies of Gwadar，combining with Linyi Trade Industry capital advantage and rich experience to lay a solid foundation for the success to the project.

Mr. Zhang Shuping, mayor of Linyi City made an oration. Pakistan (Gwadar) China Linyi Trade City is the first major project of Linyi with Pakistan in trade and economic cooperation.. They will make great efforts to develop the project into a regional trade and logistics center which integrated with warehouse, logistics, product exhibition and market transaction.

Mr. Zhang Baozhong, chairman of COPHC signed a Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement with Linyi Trade City Overseas Investment Co.,Ltd. Mr. Zhang promised that COPHC would try best to provide supports and services for Linyi Trade City and all other investors. He also hoped that Linyi Trade City abide by local laws and regulations ,respect local customs and practices, protect the environment of Gwadar and contribute to the Pak-China friendship.
