A seminar “Peace and Progress in Balochistan” was held on 12 April, 2016 in Gwadar. The seminar was mainly talk about Balochistan with Respect to Development of Gwadar Port, CPEC& Coastal Cities.

Chief of Army Staff General, Raheel Sharif said that china Pakistan Economic Corridor is a reflection of Pak-China Friendship. The CPEC would usher in peace and prosperity in the region. “We are on the way to progress and stability after a difficult fight against terrorists,” he addressed.

Then, Raheel Sharif announced to establish a cadet college and an Army Medical Camps in Gwadar.

Mr. Zhang Baozhong, Chairman of China Overseas Ports Holding Company Ltd. was invited to attend the seminar and made a speech.

Mr. Zhang Baozhong said that 'we are very happy noticed that Pakistan administration is determined to provide 'good infrastructure' to the people of Pakistan, while, many of Chinese companies have advantages and experience in these fields. I believe a close cooperation in this field can assist Pakistan for an early realization for this target. As to the development of Gwadar Port, Mr. Zhang stressed that “We hope a big jump will take place... Our dream is to make Gwadar a regional trading centre'.
